Planning & Zoning Department

The Limerick Township Department of Planning & Zoning is the public point of entry for all land based activities including Subdivision and Land Development Applications for appeal to the Zoning Hearing Board, Conditional Use, Special Exception, Drainage Permits, and Zoning Use Permits.

The Department implements the goals and objectives of the Comprehensive Plan, the framework for the future vision of the Township, which considers land use, transportation impacts, open space, trail planning, and streetscape beautification standards.  Functionally this includes administration of Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances and providing staff support to the Board of Supervisors, the Planning Commission, and the Zoning Hearing Board.  The department works closely with the Code Services and Emergency Services Departments reviewing construction permits for zoning compliance and investigating resident complaints relating to zoning, parking, storm water & drainage and signage.
