HistoryThe Limerick Township Police Department was founded in May of 1965 with the Board of Supervisors' approval of a police administrator and 6 part-time patrol officers. These officers patrolled the Township utilizing their own vehicles from 7:00PM to 1:00PM Tuesday through Saturday. Today, the department consists of 30 officers, 4 civilians, 3 crossing guards and 2 canine units.
The department’s core values of Honor, Integrity, and Professionalism are incorporated into our mission statement. It is our mission to improve the quality of life of residents, businesspersons and visitors to Limerick Township by providing the highest level of professional police service.
