  • Trash service is individually contracted for by residents (or your HOA). 

    Check our Recycling Page under Private Trash Haulers (or by clicking here) for contact information of some of the trash haulers in the area.

                            Note:  This may not be a complete list - so check your local listings, too.

    Note:  Leaf & Yard Waste can be dropped off at Hetrick Gardens Landscape & Nursery - Recycling Facility free of charge to Township residents (not commercial)  The Township has contracted with Hetrick Gardens to provide this service to our residents.  For more information, go to their website at:   https://www.hetrickgardens.com/recycling-facility

    Privately contracted Trash Haulers are also required to collect Leaf and Yard Waste a minimum of 4 times a year.  For more information please visit the Township's Recycling Department Page or by clicking here

    Remember:  Latex (water-based) paint is not a hazardous waste; taking it to a hazardous waste collection center for disposal is not an option.

  • If you can’t use it and you don’t want to store it, give it away. Charitable organizations, churches and the like may be happy to take it. 

    Don’t put latex paint still in liquid form in the trash. Allow the paint to dry out and harden before disposing of the container.

  • Recycle bins may be obtained by contacting your trash hauler. You may also purchase a recycle bin at your local hardware store, if your trash hauler allows.

    (The Township no longer sells these, as we are unable to provide in a cost-effective manner)

  • To have a township road closed for a block party or special event, you'll need to submit an Application for Temporary Road Closure Permit at least 30 days in advance of the event. Once the application is approved, a permit will be issued. Signs and barricades can be picked up at the Limerick Township Public Works facility 24 hours prior to the block party/special event, and must be returned 24 hours following the event.

  • If the mailbox is protruding into the road and is hit by a plow unit, it is the responsibility of the homeowner to replace or repair. If the mailbox is installed properly and is accidentally struck by a Limerick Township Public Works plow unit, the Township will replace the damaged parts of the mailbox and/or post, however, the actual installation is the responsibility of the property owner.

    To report a dead animal, such as a deer on a Pennsylvania State road, contact PennDOT at 1-800-FIX-ROAD or by Submitting a Concern to the PennDOT Customer Care Center  

    To report a dead animal, such as a deer, on a Township-owned road or County road, contact the PA Game Commission's Southeast Region Office at (610) 926-3136.
