Police
Limerick Township provides police service 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. For counter service (reports, complaints, etc.), hours are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday and 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM on Friday. Hours may occasionally vary due to staffing. The building is closed for counter service on weekends and all legal holidays.

Yes, the police department provides fingerprinting services for purposes such as employment, name change, etc. The fee is $25. Please call 610-495-7909 for further details or to make an appointment.

Police reports are released after they are completed and approved. To request a copy of a report, a Right to Know form must be completed. The form can be obtained via the website or in person at the station. The Right to Know form, after it is submitted, is attached to the initial incident and the Police Department's approval letter, then is sent over to the Limerick Township's Right to Know Officer for his signature. After the Right to Know is signed, the forms are returned to the Police Department and the letter is mailed or may be picked up by the requester. There is a $20 fee (cash or check) for the report.Police

A reportable crash is one where there are injuries and/or towing is required for one of the involved vehicles. To obtain a copy of a reportable accident, please refer to the directions listed on the receipt that was provided by police at the time of the incident. A non-reportable crash requires no further investigation other than the form that was provided at the time of the incident.Police

Police Officers may be assigned to assist with traffic situations, security or other police related issues at special events. The cost for services beyond the normal scope of police duties will be borne by the party making the request. Please call at least 1 week prior to the event. Contact the Chief of Police at 610-495-7909 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday for availability and fee schedule.Police

If you are experiencing abuse of any sort and it is an emergency, immediately contact the police by dialing 911. If you need to speak to someone about the situation and it is not an emergency, call 610-495-7909. Officers will personally assist anyone who is a victim of abuse through the process. PFA orders are handled in the Prothonotary's Office/Women's Center which is located on the first floor of the Montgomery County Court House. They will provide you with the appropriate paperwork and directions on where to file them. The Prothonotary's Office can be reached at 610-278-5994.Police
