If the fence does not exceed six feet in height and is placed on your property, a permit is not required. The homeowner is responsible for determination of the location property boundary and should consult a surveyor if uncertain of the exact location of the property line. Rental units are regulated through the Emergency Services Department. Click here to visit the Department of Emergency Services page.
Additionally, property owners with one or more residential rental units are required to register these units each year and within thirty (30) days of a change in occupancy via the Residential Registration Form.
Complete a Zoning Use Permit application. Your information will be forwarded to all Township Departments and a collective response letter of items needed to operate of that location will be prepared for you. You do not need to have a lease agreement signed with the landlord for the Township to perform this service for you. The fee for the Zoning Use Permit is $100.00.
Please note that additional fees may be required if an alarm system needs to be registered. This can be done via submission of a Registration of Alarm Systems form.
