PARKS CREW SUMMER REMINDERS:
The Manderach Memorial Playground is closed the 1st Monday of every month from 8 am - 2 pm for safety inspection and maintenance.

No food or drinks are allowed in the Manderach Memorial Playground. Please help keep that area clean and bee free!

Dosg must be leashed at all times with the Limerick Township Parks. Dogs are not allowed within the Manderach Memorial Playground area. Please remember to clean up after your pets.

FACILTIY & RENTAL INFORMATION

Limerick Township has three public parks that offer a variety of recreational opportunities for the community to enjoy.

Limerick Community Park Limerick Community Park Field Map - consisting of approximately 65 acres total (50.5 acres is active area), it is located at Swamp Pike and Ziegler Road. It is home to the Manderach Memorial Playground. The facility includes two pavilions, 3 softball fields, 2 little league fields, 1 baseball field, 3 multi-purpose fields, 2 sand courts, 2 basketball courts, 1.1 walking/running track with 12 fitness stations along it , two restroom facilities and concession stand.

Veteran's Park Township Building & Veterans Park Field Map - a 7.5 acre park located just behind the Limerick Township Building on Ridge Pike. It includes a pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grills, a multi-purpose field, mini field, playground area and 2 tennis courts.

Trinley River Park Trinley River Park Map - a 6 acre park located along Trinley Road in Linfield. It offers a spectacular view of the Schuylkill River. It includes a walking trail along the Schuylkill River, pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grills and a boat ramp.

Linfield Sports Park Linfield Sports Park Map - a newly acquired 17 acre park located on Longview Road in Linfield.


Recreation Facility Rental Information:
Limerick Township Parks & Recreation Department issues pavilion rental permits, seasonal/one-time field rental permits and park special event permits for recreational use of the Limerick Community Park, Veterans Park and Linfield Landing Park recreational facilities.

2010 PARKS & RECREATION RENTAL FEE SCHEDULE

Pavilion Rental Information:
2010 Pavilion Rental Application

Rental time periods are 9:00 am to 12:30 pm/1:00 pm - 4:30 pm/5:00 pm - dusk. These rental times include set-up and clean-up time. Pavilions are available to rent from April 10 through October 31, 2010.
LCP - Main Pavilion: Section A is available for up to 50 people, Section B is available for up to 75 people and Section C is a non-reserved area for public use on a first-come-first served basis.
LCP - Lion's Den Pavilion
- is available for up to 35 people
Veteran's Park Pavilion
is available for up to 65 people
Trinley River Park - Thompson Pavilion is available for up to 35 people.

Summer Camps and School Groups Pavilion Rental Application
Facility rental times for summer camps and school groups are Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm during June, July or August.

Seasonal Field Rental Information:
2010 Seasonal Field Rental Application
Seasonal permits will be issued for a 10 week period. Requests for facility use beyond 10 weeks will be handled on a case by case basis with a fee per date charged. Permit applications must be received in the LTP&R office no later than 6 weeks before your scheduled start date. All fields will open for the spring on Monday, April 5, 2010 so please plan your schedules accordingly. Bathrooms and fields close on Monday, November 1, 2010 for the winter season.

Special Event Park Rental Information:
2010 Special Event Park Rental Application
Special Event Park Rental applications must be received in the LTP&R office no later than 6 weeks before your scheduled event. There are no guaranteed assignments for any event. Based upon this request, LTP&R events and other requests, an official permit will be sent to you indicating approved dates, times and facilities.

LTP&R reserves the right to delay the start of the seasonal permit due to unplayable field conditions. LTP&R reserves the right to cancel a permit and/or date in a timely manner due to unplayable field conditions, extreme inclement weather conditions, etc.

GIFTS FOR ALL SEASONS: MEMORIAL DONATIONS

Memorial trees, benches and/or stone pavers are welcomed donations at sites within the Limerick Township Park System.

Many people chose to buy a living memorial gift of trees to honor the memory of a lost relative, pet or fallen soldier. The donation will be placed in a park where relatives and friends can visit and spend time remembering their loved one. If you or your family enjoy a particular park and wish to place a lasting memorial to a family member, friend or pet consider donating a tree, bench or stone paver to the community.

DISCOUNT AMUSEMENT PARK & SKI LIFT TICKETS

LTP&R in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Recreation and Parks Society (PRPS) are selling discount amusement park (summer) and ski lift tickets (winter) to participating theme parks and ski mountains. These are actual tickets not coupons and are good through the current season.

Buy your tickets now – save money and avoid waiting in long lines at the amusement park or ski mountain.

Participating parks and ski mountains are listed below. Get your tickets early as supplies are limited (call ahead to confirm availability). CASH or MONEY ORDERS ONLY. NO REFUNDS.

RECREATION PROGRAM REGISTRATION INFORMATION
  • Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis....register early!
  • Pre-registration is required for all programs and trips unless otherwise noted.
  • Payment must accompany program registration form. Make checks payable to "Limerick Township"
  • Attend the first class as scheduled; confirmation is not mailed.

Signed program registration/Hold Harmless forms are required for participation in LTP&R programs/trips. These forms are a contract of understanding between you and LTP&R. Signed registration forms are required to process your registration and for participation in programs/trips.

Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy
Limerick P&R reserves the right to cancel any program or activity due to insufficient registration. A full refund will be issued. Inclement weather may prompt cancellations. Not sure? Call Limerick P&R Office. Sessions are made up at another date if possible. If your status in a program changes, contact Limerick P&R immediately to document the change.

Program Cancellation Policy……

  1. Cancellation before the close of business on the printed registration deadline date is without penalty.*
  2. Cancellation or transfer after the printed registration deadline is handled on a case-by-case basis.*
  3. Refunds are not possible once Limerick P&R has paid instructors.

There is $10.00 per person administration fee for any cancellation processed.

Trip Cancellation & Refund policy...
No refunds for “No Shows” day of trip. Full refund will be issued if trip is canceled. Cancellations 30 days in advance, will receive a refund minus $5.00 administration fee as long as a seat replacement is found.

From 422 – Take the Limerick/Linfield exit. If coming from 422 West make a right onto Lewis Road. If coming from 422 East make a left onto Lewis Road. Follow Lewis Road to Ridge Pike. Turn left onto Ridge Pike. Follow Ridge Pike to 646 W. Ridge Pike. The Limerick Township Building will be on your right hand side.

LTP&R offers college students Internship Opportunites, please look over the information and contact the Parks and Recreation Office if interested in applying for an internship.

LTP&R offers a variety of Volunteer & Community Service Opportunities.
LTP&R invites local brownie troops, girls scouts, cub scouts, boy scouts, school groups, church youth groups, etc to participate in community service opportunites through Limerick Parks and Recreation Department. In the past local Cub Scouts made birdhouses for Limerick Community Park, Brownies cleaned up the Limerick Community Park and local high school students helped out at our Spring Egg Hunt and Holiday Tree Lighting events. Please consider helping out LTP&R!

Camp Shamrock Field Trip Descriptions & Prices - Check the FLYER

No refunds and ALL trips must be paid and registered for by the Friday before the trip. A separate trip registration form must be filled out and signed for each camper. Parents still must register and sign permission form for trips included in registration fee. CAMP T-SHIRT MUST BE WORN ON ALL TRIPS. If a camper does not have their camp t-shirt they will not be allowed to attend the trip.

ALL TRIP REGISTRATIONS ARE TAKEN AT THE LIMERICK TOWNSHIP OFFICE. NO EXCEPTIONS!
