The function of the Code Enforcement Office with respect to zoning is to manage and administrate the enforcement of codes and ordinances relating to construction, property maintenance, plumbing, electrical, general nuisances, subdivision and zoning requirements.

Sometimes, projects we want to complete do not meet the requirements of existing codes or ordinances. The method used to seek relief from the requirements of an existing code or ordinance is to request a hearing before the Zoning Hearing Board.
