Township Supervisors recently approved an update to the 2006 Open Space Plan, with Volunteer Citizens Advisory Panel meetings beginning in late 2019. Due to Covid-19, this project was temporarily put on hold; however, the Board of Supervisors approved meetings to begin again in 2021. This new Open Space Plan, with an objective, to preserve the natural resources of the Township, will be a continuation of other long-range planning. After many months of planning, meetings, and consulting the update was in a position for official board adoption. At their meeting on February 1st, 2022, the Limerick Township Board of Supervisors officially adopted the update. The Comprehensive Open Space Plan Update is available for viewing here,
Funding for this project is provided by the PECO Green Region Program, which supports innovative environmental projects to positively impact southeastern Pennsylvania communities.
